As an outsourced accounting and finance provider to hundreds of companies globally, Scrubbed is deeply committed to providing our clients with the highest quality services and maintaining the highest degree of data integrity and security. When you entrust your financial data to the Scrubbed accounting and finance team, you expect us to manage and protect it properly—and we take that responsibility seriously.
With that commitment in mind, we’re pleased to announce that Scrubbed has received our SOC2 Type 1 report! It’s a visible testament to the rigorous operational controls and compliance measures that have always guided our work for our clients’ benefit.
What Our SOC2 Status Means for You
When you outsource critical business functions to a third party, you need confidence that your service provider has the processes, policies, and controls in place to safeguard the information you share—especially at a time when greater connectivity has the potential to create greater risk. An SOC report on your chosen partner can give you that confidence.
Service Organization Control (SOC) reports follow the standards of the American Institute for Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Based on the type of work we engage in, Scrubbed chose to undergo the audit and review process for SOC2, which confirms how well a service provider’s operational and compliance controls adhere to five “trust service principles”: security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy.
After a rigorous audit and review, Scrubbed received a SOC2 Type 1 report, which describes our operational and compliance control measures and attests that their design is appropriate for meeting the Security and Confidentiality trust principles outlined by the AICPA.
Now that Scrubbed has completed the SOC2 audit process and received a Type 1 report, any client can request a copy to gain even greater confidence that we’re managing and protecting the data you entrust to us as your outsourced accounting and finance partner.
And since the SOC2 report is issued on an annual basis, we’ve committed to undergoing the SOC audit each year to ensure our operational and compliance controls stay compliant with the AICPA’s rigorous standards for service organizations.
But the SOC2 report is just the start. Scrubbed is committed to achieving the industry certifications and compliance statuses that our clients expect of an outsourced accounting and finance partner. Look for more news in the future as we continue to attest to the quality and integrity of our comprehensive accounting and finance services!
